Winnifred Joan Cushman

Winnifred Joan Cushman was born on May 21, 1932 in Ensley Township, Michigan. She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at Bronson Commons in Antwerp Township. She was a longtime Lawrence resident and a loyal and faithful member of the Lawrence Congregational Church, a member of the Prospect Lake Literary Club-Christie Lake Extension and the Van Buren County Historical Society.

Winnifred is survived by a brother: William (Arda) Cushman of Alto and many other family members and friends.

Winnifred is preceded in passing by her parents: Fred and Velva (Clinard) Cushman, a brother: Robert Cushman and a sister-in-law: Gladys Cushman.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. on Monday, Nov. 9 at the Lawrence Congregational Church, with the Celebration of Life service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to the Lawrence Quick Response or Van Buren County Historical Society for its handicap accessibility fund.
