Willie Maude Burtzloff

Willie Maude Burtzloff, 88, of South Haven, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo.

Maude as she went by, was born Nov. 11, 1924 in Hornbeak, Tenn., the daughter of Grant and Odie (Prince) Rainey, both of whom preceded her in passing. She was also preceded in passing by a grandchild and a sister; Louise.

Maude is survived by a daughter, Linda (James) Jessick of Lawrence; a son, Chuck (Jennifer) Burtzloff, of California; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Bessie Sinclair, and a brother, Julius Rainey, both of Bangor; four nephews; three nieces; and many other family members.

Maude's hobby was hunting mushrooms and listening to country music, and she loved her sweets.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, followed by her celebration of life service. Pastor Dave Gilbert of the Hartford Federated Church will officiate. Maude will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
