William Earl Weldon

William Earl Weldon, Sr., 77, of Mishawaka, Ind., formerly from southwest Michigan, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

William was born March 5, 1935, in Inverness, Miss., the son of George and Sally (Bowman) Weldon, both of whom precede him in passing. Also preceding him in passing were a sister, Minnie Pritchard, and a brother, George Weldon, Jr.

William is survived by two daughters, Mary Weldon-Alexander (Scott Rosendaul) of South Bend, Ind., and Janet (Larry) Nielsen of Holland; and two sons, William Earl (Gina) Weldon Jr. and Leslie Weldon, both of Grand Junction. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; four brothers, Albert Weldon, Billy Weldon, Jimmy Weldon and Walter Weldon; and two sisters, Lucille Downs and Ann Franks.

The family will welcome friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, where the service to honor his memory will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24.
