William Arthur Mccabe

William Arthur "Uncle Budda" McCabe, 51, of Lawrence, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Lakeland Community Hospital, Watervliet.


William was born August 14, 1961 in Kalamazoo, the son of Arthur and Nancy (Smith) McCabe, II both of whom precede him in passing. He is also preceded by a grandson: Landon and his God Father: Robert Simpson.


William retired from the U.S. Army National Guard after twenty one years of proudly serving his country. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family which consists of his wife: Rebecca, his children: Anthony and his wife Angi, Samantha and her husband Randy, Robert "Rupert" and Cory, his grandchildren: Jasmin, Lilianna, Violet, Paul, Tom and Tyler and a great granddaughter: Gracie. William is also survived by four sisters, two brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.


As per William's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will welcome friends from 1 to 2 P.M.; Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Ely Lake Campground, where he and the family spent many precious moments. At 2 P.M., there will be full military rites in honor of William's service to his country. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to either the Lawrence High School, in memory of William or the South Haven V.F.W. The family has entrusted the Leonard Funeral Home, Lawrence, with handling the arrangements.
