Virginia Lee Willoughby, 85, of Hartford passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Caretel Inns of Lakeland, Royalton Township.
Virginia was born Nov. 2, 1931, in Wardell, Mo., the daughter of Harvey and Bertha (Brown) Phillips, both of whom preceded her in passing. Also preceding her in passing were her husband, James Arthur Willoughby; a son, Ronnie Gale Willoughby; six sisters: Hazel Phillips, Ora Burgess, Mattie Crafton, Velma Harris, Dorcie Arnold and Patricia Roberts; and two brothers, William Phillips and Harvell Phillips.
Virginia is survived by her children: Rickey Willoughby of Watervliet, Gwendolyn (Creight) Smith Jr. of Coloma, Pamela Willoughby of Kalamazoo and Carol Anchor of Hartford. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Arvell (Linda) Phillips of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Private family services were held on Thursday, Jan. 12, followed by burial in Keeler Cemetery. Memorial donations in Virginia's name may be made to the American Heart Association. Those wishing to leave memorial condolences for the family may do so at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
