Timothy Scott Summerhill, Sr.

Timothy Scott Summerhill Sr., 50, of Hartford passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at home following a short illness.

Tim, as he was known by all who knew him, was born Nov. 10, 1964, in Watervliet, the son of Bobbie Summerhill and Evelyn Whitaker.

Tim married the former Lisa Peterson on April 6, 1996. She survives, along with five children: James Henry of Mount Pleasant, Angie (David) Galvan of Hartford, Timothy Scott Summerhill Jr. of Bellaire, and Holly Summerhill and MacKenzie Summerhill, both of Hartford; mother, Mary Evelyn Whitaker of Chipley, Fla.; stepmother, Claudia Summerhill of Hartford; and seven siblings: Anthony (Virginia) Summerhill of Holland, Mich.; Jeffrey Summerhill of Hartford; Tammy (Jeff) Bond of St. Joseph; Tina (Neil) Reid of Bonifay, Fla.; Lisa (Rodney) Harris of Twin Lakes, Mich.; Walter (Kerrie) Summerhill of Bangor; and Amanda (Josh) Chadwick of Chipley, Fla.

Tim was preceded in passing by his father, Bobbie Edward Summerhill, and a brother, Bobbie Samuel Summerhill.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Hartford High School gymnasium, where the service to honor his memory will commence at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
