Thomas William Trux

Thomas William Trux, 69, of Dowagiac, formerly of Hartford, passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, at home.

Thomas was born Jan. 25, 1951, in Benton Harbor, the son of Glenn and Shirley (King) Trux, both of whom preceded him in passing. Also preceding him in passing was a brother, Mark Trux.

Thomas retired from Gast Manufacturing of Benton Harbor after many years of service. He was also an inventor, trying to create inventions that could be used in everyday life.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Shagonaby) Trux; five children, Matthew Trux of Coloma, Benjamin Trux, Tom (Tina) Johnson and Melissa Johnson, all of Hartford, and David (Kim) Johnson of Dowagiac; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Shelley Miller of Tampa, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
