Thomas Ray Spangler, Sr.

Thomas Ray Spangler Sr., was born on March 26, 1966, in Paw Paw, the son of Janet (Spangler) Morris, whom preceded him in passing. Also preceding him was a grandson, Chase Hall Jr.

Thomas passed away suddenly, on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, in Watervliet Township.

Thomas attended Bangor schools. He worked at M140 Auto Parts for many years. His passion was fixing cars, and listening to Hank Williams Jr., and George Jones music. You would often find Thomas at the casino trying to win the big money! But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a jack of all trades, and always cracking jokes. There was never a dull moment when Thomas was around. He was a well loved man who will be missed dearly.

Thomas leaves behind to cherish his memory, his ex-wife, Sandy Taylor of Hartford; three daughters: Ashley Spangler of Alabama, Brandi Spangler of Bangor, and Amy Spangler of Hartford; a son, Thomas Spangler Jr. of Covert; thirteen grandchildren: Anthony, Alissa, Zoie, Ryann, Dalton, Ethan, Bentley, Noah, Aaron, Sadie, Skyy, Thomas and River; his stepfather, Jimmy Chambers; two brothers: Richard (Mickie) Andrews of Hartford, and Timothy Andrews of Coldwater, Mich.; a sister, Alice Cantrell of Florida; and numerous other family members and friends.

The family will welcome friends from 1-3 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, where the service to honor his memory will commence at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery, Lawrence Township.
