Theresa Ann Morris

Theresa Ann Morris, 65, of Hartford passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo.

Theresa was born Sept. 7, 1948, in Watervliet, the daughter of Jay and Charlene (Kaylor) McFarland. Her father preceded her in passing.

Theresa worked in the automotive business early on, but later had her own cleaning business for a number of years. She lived in the Hartford area for most of her life. She also resided in Maryland and Florida for a number of years.

The family will welcome friends from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at Hartford Federated Church, where a celebration of life service will commence at 1 p.m. Pastor David Gilbert will officiate. Theresa will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Theresa's name may be made to Hartford Federated Church for senior services. Theresa is survived by her husband, Bill, whom she married Nov. 14, 2002; two daughters, Cynthia Lynn Gilman of Fort Myers, Fla., and Tammy (David) Millword of Lawrence; eight grandchildren: Amanda, Donald, Susan, Jennifer, Jessica, Benjamin, CJ and Joshua; two great-grandchildren, Dakota and Aiden; her mother; a brother, Terry (Adrienne) McFarland of Severn, Md.; and three stepdaughters: Diane (Cecil) Wismer of Hartford; Sheryl (Mark) Horawitze of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Dawn Berbert of Salt Lake City.
