Theola Lavada Sharpe

Theola Lavada Langston-Sharpe, formerly of Hartford, was born on Nov. 29, 1931, in Marmaduke, Ark., the daughter of Elzora Jarvis.

Theola passed away on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, at Caretel Inn in St. Joseph, at the age of 92.

Theola is survived by her children: Ron (Linda) Langston, Patti (Fred) Amundsen and Stanley (Jan) Langston. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Mark (Vicky) Amundsen, Brian (Erin) Amundsen, Kevin Langston, Kyle (Serena) Langston, Chelsea (Josh) Bombino and Hanna (Chad) Marshall; twelve great-grandchildren; and a brother, JD Dowdy.

Theola was preceded in passing by her first husband, Glen Langston; her second husband, Norman Sharpe; and her parents.

Theola will be laid to rest next to Glen at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hartford, with a private family graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Theola’s name may be made to Caring Circle Hospice of Corewell Lakeland Health, St. Joseph.
