Terry Lee Simons

Terry Lee Simons, 65, of Keeler Township passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at Rose Arbor Hospice Center, Kalamazoo.


Terry was born Feb. 23, 1955, in Kalamazoo, the son of Frank and Iva (Flett) Simons, both of whom precede him in passing. He is also preceded in passing by four brothers: Donald Simons, Richard Simons, Frank “Sonny” Simons and Robert Simons; three sisters: Rita Reaume, Brenda Keckler and Dorothy Cole; and a stepsister, Jean Ann Flett.


Terry was heavily involved in The Church, Keeler, doing everything he could to serve his Lord. He loved collecting records and old model motorcycles.


Terry is survived by four brothers: Paul Simons, Raymond Simons, Thomas Simons and Charles Simons; nephews: Jacob Martin, Paul Hughes, Brian Hughes, Chad (Kelly) Nuyen and Owen Nuyen; nieces: Paula Simons, Emma Nuyen, Janet Simons, Dana Jones and Erin Burnett; and many other family members, and friends.


A service to honor Terry’s memory will commence at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at The Church, Keeler, with Pastor Jesse Maya officiating. Burial will follow in Keeler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Terry’s name may be made to the church. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements.
