Teresa Suarez Medrano

Teresa Suarez Medrano was born on Oct. 15, 1930, in San Antonio. Teresa is the daughter of Marcelo and Epifania (Bolanos) Suarez, both of whom preceded her in passing. Also preceding her was Theresa's love of her life, her husband of 68 years, Manuel Medrano, who passed away on March 7, 2018; her son, Manual Medrano; and daughter, Leticia Medrano.

Teresa passed away at the age of 93, on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at her home in Hartford, surrounded by her loving family.

The family will welcome friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m., on Friday, May 10, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford, with Father German Perez-Diaz as the celebrant. Teresa will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Teresa was a stay at home mom, whose greatest joy was spending time with her large family, which consists of her last remaining sister, Isabel Martinez; and children: Margaret Garcia, George (Blanca) Medrano, Olivia (Carmelo) Rodriguez, Juanita Jackson, Elena (Victor) Hidalgo, Judy (Daniel) Mireles, Robert (Rachel) Medrano, Jesse Medrano and Susie (Jose Luis) Perez; thirty-six grandchildren; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
