Shirley Ann Craig

Shirley Ann Craig was born July 8, 1950, in Benton Harbor, one of five children born to Thomas and Francis (Snoody) Stevens. Shirley passed away at her home in Hartford, surrounded by her family, on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016.

Shirley finished her working years as an adult foster care giver. She will always be remembered as one who gave to anyone in need and loved unconditionally.

As to Shirley's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life gathering will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Van Buren Conference Center in Lawrence. Shirley is survived by five children: Billy (Nikole) Green of California, Deborah (Tony) Galvan and Jenny Cowsert, both of Hartford, Jerry Cowsert of Colorado and Robert (Kelsey) Craig II of Arkansas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (Roy) Eddings of Benton Harbor; and two brothers, Tom (Carol) Stevens of Georgia and Roy Stevens of North Carolina; and numerous other family members and friends.

Shirley was preceded in passing by her parents; and a sister, Vicki Stevens.
