Sandra Gay Wilcoxson

Sandra Gay Smith Wilcoxson passed away Feb. 10, 2015, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Smith-Mwewe, and son-in-law, Muasa Mwewe; grandchildren: Ronda and Ryanne Wagner, Karon and Kaleb Smith-Mwewe of Benton Harbor; her mother, Betty Joe Smith of Coloma; sisters: Joann Gingrich, Shirley Buckley and Nancy Bailey, all of Coloma, and Lisa Smith of Lawrence; a brother, Dana Smith of South Bend; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She loved gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and going on motorcycle rides. She couldn't spend enough time at the casino, and was infamous for those scratch-off lottery tickets.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Smith; sisters: Debra Smith, Lou Anne Holcomb and Brenda Smith; a nephew, Danny Ray Vaughn; and two nieces, Storie Smith and Ashley Buckley.

There will be a combined memorial for Sandy and Debra Smith at Keeler General Baptist Church on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, with visitation at 11:30 a.m. and the service at 12:30 p.m., followed by a luncheon.
