Sally Ann Colgren, 72, of Lawrence passed away on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at home surrounded by her family.

Sally was born Nov. 8, 1942, in Lawrence, the daughter of Cecil and Enid (Barkmaier) Monk. She was a graduate of Bangor High School and was formerly employed at the Bangor Elevator. She married William Colgren Jr. on July 14, 1962, and together they would farm on their farm for many years. In her spare time she loved to read, watch “The Young and the Restless” and “Dancing with the Stars,” and root on her beloved Detroit Tigers, while drinking her favorite beverage, chocolate milkshakes.

On Aug. 18, 2013, the love of her life, Bill, passed away. Both of her parents have passed away also.

Sally is survived by her two children: Deborah (Michael) Schlieter and Larry (Pamela) Colgren, both of Lawrence; four grandchildren, Tara, Nicholas, Tiffany and Bradley; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathleen (James) Strangways of Jenison, Mich.

The family will welcome friends from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at the Bangor Church of Christ, followed by the service to honor Sally’s memory, with the Rev. Jeremiah Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in Colburn Cemetery, Arlington Township.
