Ruth Marie Frazier

Ruth Marie Frazier, 97, of Hartford passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Ely Manor in Allegan, Mich.

Ruth was born April 28, 1924, in Bangor Township, the daughter of Walter and Etta (Clinard) Smith, both of whom precede her in passing. Also preceding her in passing are her late husband, Glenn Frazier; a daughter, Sharon Zordan; a son, Gary Allen Frazier; three brothers, and one sister.

Ruth, for most of her later adult life, was a homemaker, but received a nurse’s aide certificate. She was a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Hartford and was a former member of the Van Buren County Historical Society. In her spare time, she was an avid reader, loved traveling, and most importantly, enjoyed the special moments she had spending time with her family.

Ruth is survived by two daughters, Delores (Gary) Atteberry of Kalamazoo, Mich. and Bonnie (David) Stinton of Hartford; a son, Dennis Frazier of Bangor; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Ruth has been cremated, and the family will hold a visitation in honor of her memory from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, April 15, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ruth’s name may be made to the Calvary Pentecostal Church.
