Roy Allen Brown

Roy Allen Brown was born July 26, 1962 in Watervliet. He was one of three children born to Walter and Martha (LaFarlette) Brown. Roy passed away at the University of Michigan Hospital, in Ann Arbor, on Sunday March 2, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Antonio Ledesma.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor Roy's memory will take place on Monday, March 10 at 7 p.m. at the Hartford General Baptist Church. Pastor Steve Bisbee will officiate. Besides his mother, Roy is survived by a daughter, Nicole Nagy of N.C.; two sisters: Georgia Hodges of Paw Paw and Rosemary Brown of Hartford; three aunts; Mary (Gene) Bisbee, Barbara Meador and MaDonna Martin, all of Hartford; an uncle: John Wise of Dowagiac; two nieces: Vivian (Christopher) Dukes of Ionia and Stacey Ledesma of Hartford; two nephews: Chris Cummins II of Paw Paw and Pedro Ledesma IV of Hartford and three stepchildren: Brandon, Jessica and Johnathon.

Roy was a 1981 graduate of Hartford High School. He went on to get a mechanics certificate in repairing brakes. He loved his family and enjoyed being with them.
