Ross Vern Robert Moore

Ross Vern Robert Moore, 65 of Saint Joseph, formerly of Hartford, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at his home in the Whitcomb Senior Living Community.

Ross was born May 4, 1949 in Coloma, the son of Dave and Roena (Shafer) Moore, both of whom preceded him in passing. Ross was also preceded in death by two of his brothers: Van and Michael Moore.

Ross served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the American Legion Stoddard Post 93 of Hartford, the DAV Post 17 of Saint Joseph and AMVETS Post 1978 of Niles. Ross also belonged to the Van Buren Sportsman's Club of Hartford.

Ross is survived by his brother, Gary (Cathy) Moore of Hartford, two sisters-in-law, Janice Moore of Coloma and Renee Moore of Hartford, along with many nieces and nephews.

As to Ross' request, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be place on his parents' grave in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford, where family and friends will gather at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Pastor David Gilbert of the Hartford Federated Church will officiate and Military Rites will be conducted by the North Berrien Military Rites Team.
