Ross Ralph Efting

Ross Ralph Efting, 82 of Bangor went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 19, 2021, at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.

A private family viewing was took place on July 22, at Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford after which cremation took place.

A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, at the Hartford Bible Church of which he was a member for many years. Those wishing to leave memorial condolences for the family may do so at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.

Ross was born on Oct. 25, 1938, in Chicago, to Wilverd and Dorothy (Breding) Efting, moving to Bangor at about three years of age.

After high school, Ross attended Michigan State University for three years. He was employed by the Curt Drake Farms, Everett Piano in South Haven and as owner of Efting Eggery with his dad W. Efting and brother Jay Efting. Ross’s sons Steve and Greg also joined the business until its closing in 2002.

Ross is survived by his wife, Vickie Schaus; and son, Greg of Bangor; daughter-in-law, Penny Efting; four grandchildren: Shana (Chris) Chappell, Mark (Gabrille) Efting, and Ben Efting all of Bangor, and Dan Efting of London, England; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Ross was preceded in passing by his son, Steve Efting; his parents; and three brothers: Danny, Todd and Jay.
