Robert Perez, Jr.

Robert Perez, Jr., 58 of Keeler, was born on Oct. 9, 1957 to Robert and Rachel Perez. He passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Lakeland Medical Center, Saint Joseph.

Robert is survived by two daughters: Rachel Perez-West of Keeler and Jessica (Jessie) Brady of Dowagiac; four grandchildren: Isabella West, Jacoba West, Jr., Presley Willis and Ryan Willis, Jr. and one on the way. He is also survived by six siblings: Paul Perez of Keeler, Christy (Miguel) Ortega of Grand Rapids, Guadalupe (Pat) Herron of Decatur, Sandra Perez of Keeler, Linda Balderramas of Galesburg and Sheila Perez of Kalamazoo; a brother-in-law: Frederick Alfred Hemstreet, Jr. of Dowagiac and a large family of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and friends.

Robert retired from Operating Engineers after many years of employment. He always knew how to have fun with the family and friends. In the winters, you would always see him in his plow truck and in the summer, watch out, for he loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle fast!

The family will welcome friends from 6 to 8 P.M.; Tuesday, May 17 at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford. A celebration of life service to honor Robert's memory will be held at the Keeler General Baptist Church at 3 P.M.; Wednesday, May 18. Robert will be laid to rest in Keeler Cemetery.
