Robert "Bob" Perry McKinven, 54, of Covert, was born on Feb. 3, 1962, to Ronald and Kay (Rowe) McKinven. He passed away suddenly on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at home.
Bob, as he was known, is survived by his mother, Kay; six sisters: Rhonda Crans, Roberta Nichols, Rita (Al) Hosier, Robin (Mickey) Houchin, Ruth (John) Wolf and Marilyn (Mike) Stanek. He is also survived by special family members: Marsha, Billy Jo and children; his beloved dogs, Jugular and Duke; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Bob was preceded in passing by his father, Ronald McKinven Sr.; and a brother, Ronald McKinven Jr.
Bob was working for Ralph Stelter on his farm and also doing minor repairs on anything Ralph needed fixing. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed searching for morel mushrooms in the spring, and fishing and hunting with his dogs.
The family will welcome friends from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, immediately followed by a celebration of life service to honor Robert's memory. As to Robert's wishes cremation has taken place, and he will be laid to rest in Thomas Cemetery at a later date. Big Bad Bob will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
