Reta Jane Geisler

Reta Jane Geisler was born Aug. 29, 1929, the daughter of Clarence and Hazel Pomeroy. She passed away at the age of 90 on March 12, 2020, at Caretel Inns of Lakeland in St. Joseph.

On Dec. 30, 1951, Reta was united in marriage with David Geisler. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, farm wife and homemaker, who loved music, cooking, gardening, flowers and being with her grandkids.

Reta will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, David; her daughters, Becky Clark of Seattle, Nancy Kenworthy of St. Joseph and Sarah and her husband Martin Kurtz of Eau Claire; her grandchildren, Erik Kenworthy and Katie, Mollie and Emilie Kurtz; and her sister, Mary Metzen of Ionia. She was preceded in death by her seven brothers and a sister; and her sons-in-law, Gary Clark and Michael Kenworthy.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at Hartford Bible Church on Red Arrow Highway. A celebration of Reta's life will follow at 4 p.m., with a reception afterwards. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to Hartford Bible Church. A private burial for the family will be Monday, March 16, in Maple Hill Cemetery.
