Raymond Eugene Wiltshire was born Nov. 6, 1943, in Angleton, Texas, to Raymond and Bertha (Williams) Wiltshire. He left this world on June 15, 2019, at the age of 75, at the VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Ray, as he was known, was united in marriage to Paula (Richards) Wiltshire, who survives along with his children, David E. Wiltshire and Raymond E. Wiltshire Jr. and spouse. He is also survived by four step-children; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as sister, Nita Kay and many other family members. He was preceded in passing by both his parents; brother; sister and his daughter, Wendy Kay Wiltshire Dean.
Ray joined the Air Force, where he served as an Air Plane Mechanic during the Vietnam War. He then worked for many years at Shepard Products in Saint Joseph, Mich. He was a member of the Van Buren Sportsman’s Club, and loved watching old westerns, especially Gunsmoke.
As to the family wishes, a private burial was held at Fort Custer National Cemetery on Thursday, June 20, 2019, with full military rites. Pastor Lonnie Truelove officiated. The Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, Mich. assisted the family with arrangements.
