Patricia Ann Gomez

Patricia Ann Gomez, 48, of Edwardsburg, passed away suddenly Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital, Niles.

Patricia was born Feb. 7, 1971, in Goshen, the daughter of Larry Sr. and Glenda (Spafford) DuVall.

Patricia loved remaining active on the move, never being one to sit still. She enjoyed going to the casino and listening to George Jones’ songs. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family, who will miss her dearly.

Patricia is survived by a son, Monroe Jr. (Samantha) Gomez, of Hartford; two daughters, Amanda Gomez, of Edwardsburg, and Nickole Akins, of Booneville, Mississippi; 14 grandchildren; her parents, Larry and Glenda, of Kentucky; a sister, Teresa (Tony) McDougle, of Texas; two brothers, Larry Jr. (Dawn) DuVall, of Kentucky, and Jerry (Cindy) DuVall, of Michigan; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Patricia is preceded in passing by two aunts and two grandfathers.

The family will welcome friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, where the service to honor her memory will take place at 3 p.m. Following the services, cremation will take place.
