Oscar Bob Nail

Oscar Bob Nail was born Jan. 16, 1945 in Benton Heights. He was the son of Clarence and Sadie (Williams) Nail. Oscar passed away at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015. In addition to his parents, Oscar was preceded in death by fourteen siblings, those included Paul Nail, Bonnie Covington and Donna Mak.

Oscar is survived by a daughter: Cynthia Zachary of St. Joseph and her children: Christopher Zachary of Three Rivers, Jared Zachary and Katie Zachary, both of St. Joseph; a son: Michael (Elsa) Rosser of Whittier, Ca. and a daughter: Sheila (Jon) Cole and their children: Emily Cole, Alex Cole and Sarah Cole, all of St. Joseph. He is also survived by three step-children: Randy Diehl, Joseph Diehl and James Diehl; his only surviving brother: Pastor Larry (Sharon) Nail of Watervliet and a brother-in-law: Richard Mak.

For many years, Oscar was employed at Dwans Moving and Storage. He enjoyed playing cards and listening to Country music.

As to Oscar's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will welcome friends from noon to 1 P.M. on Thursday, Nov. 5 at the New Life Christian Center in Coloma, followed by a Memorial Celebration of Life service. Private burial will take place in Lincoln Charter Township Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Oscar's name may be made to either Great Lakes Caring Hospice or New Life Christian Center.
