Oralia Mireles

Oralia Mireles was born Sept. 5, 1941, in San Antonio, the daughter of Pedro and Isabel (De La Rosa) Cuellar. Oralia passed away peacefully at her home in Hartford on Sunday, March 8, 2015. In addition to her parents, Oralia was preceded in death by her husband, Geronimo Mireles Jr., a daughter, Yolanda Mireles; and a grandson, Geronimo Contreras.

Oralia is survived by two sons, Daniel (Judy) Mireles and David (Kim) Mireles, both of Hartford; three daughters: Rachel (Edward) Contreras and Elida (Jose) Segura, both of Hartford; and Christina Mireles of Bangor; 27 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hermenia Hernandez, and two brothers, Juan Cuellar and Reymundo Cuellar, all of San Antonio.

The family will welcome friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at the church, with Monsignor Leo Cartagena as the celebrant. Oralia will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
