Oral Lester Pugh

Oral Lester Pugh was born August 8, 1943, in Hackervalley, W.Va. He was the son of Ordie and Uneeda (Knight) Pugh. Oral passed away at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015.

In addition to his parents, Oral was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Boyer.

Oral is survived by a sister, Doris (James) Parker of Altha, Fla.; two brothers, Lawrence Pugh and Charles (Mary) Pugh, both of Hartford; and many nieces and nephews.

Oral was formerly employed at Shafer Lake Fruit.

The family will welcome friends from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, followed by the service to honor his memory. The Rev. Thomas Fuller will officiate. Private burial will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Oral’s name may be made to the family.
