Nathan Franklin Wright, 76, passed away Jan. 24, 2017, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. He was born Dec. 30, 1940, in Athens, Ala., to Nathan and Sarah (Adams) Wright.
He leaves a loving family including his wife, Sandra; a daughter, Katie Valtierra of Dowagiac; a son, Johnny Wright of Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters: Ramona (Steven) Payne of Niles, Margaret (Darrell) Slinkard of Burle, Texas, and Norma Wright of North Fort Myers, Fla.; and two brothers, Louie (Gail) Wright of Bay Minette, Ala., and Joe (Linda) Wilson of Decatur.
Passing before him were a daughter, Marsela; his parents; and two sisters, Sarah Wright and Betty Friel.
“Hank” as he was known, drove semi-tractor trailers for Xtreme Trucking LLC for many years.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Decatur, followed by a celebration of life service. The Rev. Carl Wright will officiate.
