Mitchell Corey Wheeler

Mitchell Corey Wheeler, 23, of Hartford passed away suddenly Monday, June 1, 2015, in Hartford Township. Mitchell was born July 29, 1991, in Indianapolis, the son of Russell III and Kimberly (Mead) Wheeler.

Mitchell is survived by his parents; three brothers: Russell (Amanda) Wheeler of Indianapolis, Andrew Wheeler of Dowagiac and Trevor Pennington of Clarkston, Wash.; a sister, Shaeya Wheeler of Pullman; two daughters, Selea Wheeler and Serenity Wheeler, both of Dowagiac; a son, Mitchell Wheeler II of Dowagiac; his fianceé, Elizabeth White of Hartford; a grandmother, Marjorie Young of Dowagiac; a grandfather, Richard Jackson of Stevensville; his favorite aunt, Adeline (Terry) Dixon of Hartford; and numerous other family members and friends.

Mitchell was preceded in passing by grandparents: Mitchell Lewis, Geraldine Sturgeon and Ralph Young.

The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford with a traditional Indian ceremony to follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kimberly Wheeler for his children.
