Michael David Burfield

Michael David Burfield, 42, of Hartford passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013, at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, where a rosary will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to honor Michael's life will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford. Father Fabio Garzon and Deacon Arthur Morsaw will officiate. Michael will be laid to rest in Rush Lake Indian Cemetery in Hartford Township. Michael was born in Watervliet December 19, 1970, to Bill and Wanda (Drane) Morse. He loved spending time with his family, especially his wife, Laura and his son, Clarence "Tip" Burfield. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory: his parents, Bill and Wanda; a sister, Tammy (Ken) McGlothlin; a brother, Scott (Linda) Burfield all of Hartford; his mother- and father-in-law, Catherine and Deacon Arthur Morsaw; numerous sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; a great niece; and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather, Clarence and Vera Drane and a nephew, P.J. Christner.

Michael enjoyed the family trips to Florida where he relaxed on the beaches and went snorkeling in the ocean.
