Marybeth Price

Marybeth Price was born Jan. 9, 1940, in Benton Harbor, the daughter of Rex and Pauline (Munjoy) Phillips. Marybeth passed away at the age of 85, on Jan. 13, 2025, at Caretel Inns, St. Joseph.

The family will welcome friends from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, where a memorial celebration of life service to honor Marybeth’s memory will follow. Family friend, Minister Roland Leeks will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Caretel Inns, St. Joseph. On Aug. 28, 1957, Marybeth was united in marriage with Gerald Price. Marybeth earned an associate degree and was a dental hygienist for thirty six years. She had a love for reading and crocheting.

Her husband, Gerald passed away on Nov. 26, 2016. Also preceding Marybeth in passing was a daughter, Darlynn in 2008 and her parents.

Marybeth is survived by a daughter, Cammy Smith; a son, Gerald Price; six grandchildren: April (Ryan) Montgomery, Laura Zuhde, Eric Scherer, Nick Smith, Willow Price and Levi Price; numerous great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and her beloved dogs: Gracie and Jake.
