Mary Virginia Halcomb

April 24, 1942 — March 2, 2025

Mary Virginia Halcomb, 82, of Hartford passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at home.

Mary was born Apr. 24, 1942, in Hardy, Ark., the daughter of Allen and Flossie (Thompson) Davis, both of whom preceded her in passing. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Albert, on Aug. 11, 1999; a daughter, Francis Vermilyer and two brothers: Barney Davis and Millard Davis.

Mary is survived by eight daughters: Debbie Gomez, Helen Vermilyer, Sandra Spangler, Shirley Herron, Alice Wade, Linda Sexton (best friend), Nellie Jones and Bonnie Owens; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Davis and two sisters, Jackie Newton and Ellen Daughtry.

Mary loved crocheting (when she was younger) and shopping, but she was an authority person, who demanded respect when you walked into the room.
