Mary Ann Barber

Mary Ann Barber, 82, of Hartford passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

A celebration of life service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, where the family will receive friends starting at 10 a.m. Mary will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Mary was born April 11, 1933, in Decatur, the daughter of Harace and Buelah (Osborne) Zerbe. She retired from Sealed Power of Dowagiac. Mary devoted most of her life raising her family, which consists of three daughters: Vicky (Paul) Urick and Diana Cowgill, both of Coloma, and Nancy Urick of Illinois; grandsons: Jason Britt of Manistee and Andrew Wade of North Dakota; and several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in passing by her husband, Lonnie Barber; a son, Loyd Urick; two granddaughters, Geraldine "Jerri" Britt and Olivia Mays; five sisters; and one brother.
