Martha Jean Gregg

Martha Jean Gregg, 68, of Hartford passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph.

Martha was born March 13, 1947, in Hastings, the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Phillips) Easey, both of whom preceded her in passing. She was also preceded in passing by a brother, Allen Easey; and a sister, Donna Murphy.

Martha graduated from Fennville High School. She enjoyed outdoor exploration including fishing, mushrooming and going to local area garage sales. She also loved playing bingo and going to the casinos. But her most important times were family times, where she loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Martha is survived by four children: David Warner of Covert, Dorothy "Dot" Franks of Paw Paw, Donna Terry of Hartford and Laramie (Faith) Gregg of Lawrence; six grandchildren: Jazmine, Lane, Jessica, Nathan, Adam and Shane; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen (Bud) Ellison of Nashville, Mich.; and a brother, Russ (Marion) Easey of Hastings.

The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016, at Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, followed by a celebration of life service. Martha will be laid to rest in Cedar Creek Cemetery in Delton, with a private family burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
