Marlene Najacht

October 19, 1938 — September 3, 2015


Marlene Najacht was born Oct. 19, 1938, in Illinois. She passed away at the age of 76 on Sept. 3, 2015, at Pine Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Stevensville. She was the daughter of Angelo and Lily (Spoltto) Ensalaco, both of whom preceded her in passing. Marlene was also preceded by three sisters: Carmela, Rose and Delores.


Marlene was very involved with her church, the Redeemer Church in Sister Lakes. She was an exceptional artist and enjoying doing anything with her hands. She was a loving mother who loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.


Marlene is survived by four sons: William (Robin) Najacht of Hartford, Robert Najacht of Berrien Springs, Daniel (Barb) Najacht of Coloma and Thomas Najacht of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Ernie (Val) Ensalaco of Illinois and Sam (Diane) Ensalaco of Florida; and a special friend, Kathy Romeo.


The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, at Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford. Following cremation, a memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sister Lakes, with Pastor David Schaller officiating.
