Marillyn Joyce Dunn-Piper, 83, of Newnan, Georgia, formerly of Hartford, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Avalon Health and Rehabilitation in Newnan.


Marillyn was born May 8, 1929 in Lawrence, the daughter of Lytle and Elizabeth (Greter) Dunn, both of whom precede her in passing. She was also preceded in passing by her husbands; Ernie Imbordino, Alvin Melvin and Russell Piper.


When Marillyn lived here in Michigan, she enjoyed her employment at the Panel Room Restaurant in Hartford and the many friends she made working there.


Marilllyn will be truly missed by her family which consists of her two daughters; Loralei (Tommy) Perry of Newnan, Georgia and Jamie (Dale) Martin of Paw Paw, her five grandchildren; Jennifer (Kevin) Beckman, Shelly Lhotka, Chris (Emily) Hamilton, Leanne (Brian) Rowe and John Thomas Perry, her four great grandchildren, Myke, Evan, Keegan and Hannah, her sister Judy (Al) Lallinger and her many nieces and nephews.


As to Marillyn’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service to honor Marillyn’s memory on Saturday, October 13, 2012 beginning at 1 P.M. at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford. Pastor Marla Thurman of New Life Harvest Ministries will officiate. Marillyn’s ashes will be interred in Hill Cemetery, Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in Marillyn’s name to “The Wounded Warrior Project” in honor of her grandson; Lcpl. John Thomas Perry who is deployed in Afghanistan.
