Maria Eugenia Samano

Maria Eugenia Samano, 38, of Benton Harbor passed away suddenly Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Maria was born Sept. 16, 1976, in Huetamo, Michoacán, Mexico, the daughter of Mariano and Marina (Torres) Miranda.

Maria is survived by her husband, Martin Samano-Padilla; two sons, Victor Rodriguez and Jonathan Lopez; her mother, Marina Miranda; a brother, Mariano Miranda; a sister, Anita Miranda; and two nieces, Esmeralda Ledezma and Estefany Ledezma.

Maria was preceded in passing by her father, Mariano.

The family will welcome friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 7 p.m. with Monsignor Leo Cartagena of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hartford, serving as celebrant.
