Mae Bell Moody

Mae Bell Moody was born May 8, 1944 in Tennessee. She passed away suddenly at the age of 70, on April 23, 2015, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. She was the youngest of ten children born to Thomas and Laura (Hill) Cummings, both of whom precede her in passing. Mae was also preceded by seven siblings.

Mae was very involved with her church, the First General Baptist Church of Coloma. She enjoyed the natural outdoors, especially working in her water garden and loved going to the movies and spending time with her family.

Mae is survived by two sons: Tad (Cindy) Moody of Hartford and their children: Alex and Emily and Shannon Moody of Coloma, and his son, Jeremiah. Mae is also survived by her ex-husband, Finis of Coloma; two sisters: Wylomae Dodd of Collinwood, Tenn., and Audrey Brown of Savannah, Tenn., and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at the First General Baptist Church of Coloma, followed by the service to honor her memory. Pastor Tom Langston will officiate. Mae will be laid to rest in Harris Cemetery, Hagar Township. Those wishing to make a memorial may do so to any humane society. The Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford is assisting the family.
