Lyndon Orlo Arnt, 86, passed away at his home in Keeler on Friday morning, May 17, 2013, with his wife of 67 years, Norine Lucille (Bisnett) Arnt, and family members at his side.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, with visitation from 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 20. Both will be at Keeler General Baptist Church, with Pastor Heather McDougal officiating the funeral service. Burial will follow at Keeler Cemetery.
Lindy, as he was known by most, was born Aug. 12, 1926, in Bainbridge Township. A farmer for nearly 50 years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and spending time with his family. Lindy was a former member of the Elks, Odd Fellows and Lions Club, as well as a headmaster of the Bainbridge Grange.
Surviving are his wife, Norine; three children - Sandra (J.W.) Wilson of Perrinton, Mich., Joe (Sally) Arnt of Watervliet and T.J. (Brenda Hurtubise) Arnt of Bark River, Mich.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Norma Jean Shiero of Parrish, Fla.
His parents, Jesse and Katherine Arnt; a brother, Allen Arnt; and a grandson, Lyndon Joseph Arnt, preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home or the Keeler United Methodist Church. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with handling arrangements. Messages of condolences for Lindy's family may be left online at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
