Luis Carlos Medina Lopez

Luis Carlos Medina Lopez, 42, of Hartford was born Sept. 27, 1982, in Chicago, the son of Jose Medina and Concepcion Lopez.

Luis passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 24, 2025 at his home.

Luis was formerly employed as a maintenance mechanic at Regloplas. He was a good father, son and gave to others who needed help. He was a very social, friendly and happy person.

Luis leaves behind to cherish his memory; his wife, Wendy; his five children: Luis Karlos Lopez Jr., Davian Angel Lopez, Giovanni Amadeo Lopez, Ximena Rosario Lopez and Rosalie Liliana Lopez. He is also survived by his mother, Concepcion Lopez and father, Lorenzo Martinez; a sister, Liliana Lopez and three brothers: Jose Pedro Jr. Medina Lopez, Lorenzo Martinez and Jesus Martinez Jr., and numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, March 31, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Luis’ life beginning at 11 a.m. with Father Arul Lazar as celebrant. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family. The Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford is assisting the family with the services.
