Louis Drake Williams

Louis Drake Williams, 89, of Hartford, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at home.

Louis was born March 12, 1929, in Hartford, the son of Frank and Lucille (Drake) Williams, both of whom precede him in passing. Also preceding him in passing are two brothers: Burton Williams, and James Williams.

Louis worked as an electrician and was a member of Local 153 of South Bend. His favorite hobby was farming. In his spare time, he loved gardening, reading and watching westerns on television. Louis served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Louis married the former Helen Farley on Jan. 25, 1957. She survives, along with a daughter, Dian (Russell) Walker of Hartford; a son, Edward (Laura) Williams of Benton Harbor; grandchildren: Matthew (Anne) Smith, Stacey Kinchen and Adam (Kendall) Smith, all of Hartford and Jessica (Michael) Jasper of Berrien Springs. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Norden and many nieces and nephews.
