Loretta Maude Wyckoff

March 3, 1923 — April 3, 2015

Loretta Maude Wyckoff, 92, of Hartford passed from this life on earth to eternity in Heaven on Friday, April 3, 2015, at Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph.

Loretta was born March 3, 1923, in Chicago, the daughter of Abraham and Minnie (Venema) DeKoker, both of whom preceded her in passing. Also preceding her was her husband of 59 years. Arthur Joseph Wyckoff (who passed away on Sept. 16, 2003), her sisters: Evadne Mueller and Lorraine Smith, and a brother, John DeKoker.

As to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor her memory will be held this summer.

After retiring from her job as a public school secretary, Loretta and Arthur spent many winters in Avon Park, Fla. She had a very active retirement and enjoyed golfing, clogging, and spending summers at their home on Van Auken Lake. She looked forward to the many visits from her family and was always ready with their favorite treats.

Loretta is survived by her children: Phillip (BJ) Wyckoff of Beaver Island, Mich., Phyllis (Marty) Olson of West Salem, Wis., Wayne (Holly) Wyckoff of Kildeer, Ill., and Warren (Sue) Wyckoff of Elmhurst, Ill. She is also survived by her sister, Norma Barnard; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
