Loretta Jean Macmillan

Loretta Jean MacMillan, 67 of South Haven, passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo.


Loretta was born Oct. 3, 1947, in Searcy, Ark., the daughter of Doyle and Marie Mobley, both of whom precede her in passing. She is also preceded in passing by a son, Mitchell Cantrell; a brother, Kenneth Mobley; two sisters: Sharon Wilkey and Patricia Fuller, and a nephew, Kenneth Mobley.


Loretta was a homemaker, who enjoyed hand quilting. She made 25 quilts in her lifetime and one was selected as a second prize winner at the Allegan County Fair.


Loretta married William MacMillan Dec. 29, 1980. He survives, along with a daughter, Jamie (Nathan) Crago of South Haven; three sons: Arthur (Barbara) Cantrell of Houghton Lake, Jerry Joseph Cantrell and Bruce Cantrell, both of Seminole, Fla.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and two brothers: Glen Mobley of Texas and Don Mobley of Wasilla, Arkansas.


As per Loretta's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to honor her memory will commence at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Hartford Church of God. Memorial donations in Loretta's name may be made to the family. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements.
