Kenneth Andrew Anderson

November 20, 1951 — January 18, 2025

Kenneth Andrew Anderson, a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at 3:23 a.m. in Bradenton, Fla., at the age of 73. He was a warrior in every sense of the word—both on and off the battlefield. A proud veteran, he served his country with honor during the Vietnam war as a member of the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. Embodying courage, resilience and an unwavering dedication to duty.

A man of many talents, Ken was a master of karate, his strength both physical and emotional. His presence was magnetic and his wisdom was boundless. He had a gift for storytelling and could spend hours in deep, meaningful conversations with his grandchildren, imparting lessons and memories that will live on for generations.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Douglas Anderson and Irma Anderson, who have now welcomed him with open arms. Their love and guidance shaped him into the extraordinary man he became, and we take comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.

Though divorced, Ken maintained a close and enduring bond with Chrys Daniel, the mother of three of his children. He was the heart of a large and loving family and is survived by his children, who were his pride and joy: Melissa Anderson, Melanie (Kostas) Anderson, Christopher Dalzell, Bo (Jillian) Anderson, Lucas (Susan) Anderson and Alison (Todd) DePatie; his brothers: Bob (Mona) Anderson, William (Debbie) Anderson and a sister, Tammy (Tom) Rogers. He also leaves behind 14 adoring grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Ken was the cornerstone of his family, the one everyone turned to for guidance, laughter, and love. His unwavering strength, infectious smile and unmatched ability to bring people together made him the glue that held the family together. He loved deeply and was deeply loved in return.

He had a passion for life that extended beyond his family and military service. Whether through his martial arts discipline, his dedication to his country, or his conversations filled with wisdom and warmth, he left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Our dad and poppa was the strongest and most amazing man on the planet, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Yet, his memory will be treasured and carried in our hearts forever.

A service will be held to honor his life at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Calvin Funeral Home, 8 E. Main St., Hartford MI 49057. All who knew him or wish to pay their respects are welcome to attend. Those wishing to leave condolences for the family may do so at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
