Josephine Carol Perry

Josephine Carol Perry, 86, formerly of Hartford passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Green Acres Wayland, Wayland, Mich.

Josephine was born March 4, 1938, in Hartford, the daughter of Cornelius and Nellie (Kloosterman) Van Liere, both of whom preceded her in passing. Also preceding her in passing were her husband, Clark Jr., whom she married on June 24, 1956, on Sept. 9, 1997; a son, Theodore Perry, on Dec. 11, 1990; a brother, Peter Van Liere; and a sister, Martha Saetre.

Josephine retired from Hartford Public Schools, after many faithful years of employment as a cook. She was a long-time member of the Hartford Bible Church.

Josephine is survived by four sons: Clark C. (Debbie) Perry, the Rev. Brian (Donnata) Perry, Wade (Lisa) Perry and Neil (April) Perry. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nellie Pozivilko.

The family will welcome friends from 6-8 p.m., on Friday, June 21, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford. A celebration of life to honor her memory will commence at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 23, at the Hartford Bible Church, with the Rev. Brian Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Hartford Bible Church Missions Fund.
