Jerry Lee Morris

Jerry Lee Morris, age 44 of Coloma, passed away Wednesday morning, January 15th, 2014 at Lakeland Community Hospital, Watervliet. Jerry was born February 13, 1969 at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor.

Jerry Lee was a fun loving person that loved his spirits, herbal treatments, family and friends. He loved to watch sports with friends and to make friendly bets. One bet that he lost earned him the duty of dressing up as a woman, hair done, makeup done and wearing a dress. Solely for the purpose of the winner to take pictures and post them on Facebook. Jerry Lee was a fun, loving guy with a great sense of humor. He was loved by many, especially his family and will be truly missed.

Jerry Lee Morris is survived by two sons, Travis Morris (21), Tyler Morris (20) and their mother, Tracy Caprez of Coloma; his mother, Sharon Beckman of Watervliet; father, Gerald Morris of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Doug Marsh; niece, Yavonne Otwell, all from Buchanan; along with a lot of cousins.

Per Jerry's request, there will not be any funeral service, but there will be an Open House at the residence of his mother, Sharon Beckman on Saturday January 18th from 4pm to 8pm. Her address is 541 North Main Street (the Old Watervliet Hospital) in the community room. All guests are asked to please park in the Family Dollar parking lot.
