Jerry Ray Kent

Jerry Ray Kent, 49, of Paw Paw passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, Mich.

Jerry was born Dec. 4, 1974, in Benton Harbor the son of John and Eunice (Harris) Kent. His father preceded him in passing, along with his sister, Jessica Harris.

Jerry was a loving father and a loyal devoted husband who left behind several friends and family that will miss him forever. He had a great laugh and an amazing sense of humor. He did contracting as his trade work, doing roofing and all other kinds of construction.

Jerry was united in marriage to Shauna Doss on March 18, 2011 and she survives; along with three sons: Cain Kent, John Kent and Jaxon Kent; a daughter, Victoria Reyna; two grandchildren: Grace Murphy and Eligh Murphy; his mother, Eunice; a brother, Jeff Kent and a nephew, Taylor Kent.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford. As per Jerry’s wishes, cremation will follow the gathering.
