James Clifford Johnson, known as "Bud," passed away May 3, 2013, in St. Joseph. He was born to Lebern and Juanita Johnson in Trumann, Ark., on Nov. 21, 1942. He was employed as maintenance worker until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary of St. Joseph, whom he met in 1985; three children, James (Marlesa) Johnson of Hartford, Joy (Tod) Sillaway of Meco, Fla., and Sharon Canul of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Tod Jr., Kayla, Mason, Madison, Heath and Brock; and his great-grandchildren, Jaida, John, McKenna and Tod III. He is also survived by three stepchildren and three step-grandchildren; his brothers, Gary (Jeanie) Johnson, Lonnie (Diane) Johnson and Ted (Kathy) Johnson; and his sisters, Tulsa Corne, Carolyn Gibson, Paula (Pat) Roush and Twilla (Terry) Sponholtz.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
A memorial service to honor James' memory will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at the New Life Christian Center, Coloma, with Pastor Larry Nail officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations in James' name be made to any local Humane Society.
