James Torrey Dillenbeck

James Torrey Dillenbeck was born Oct. 15, 1944, in Lawrence, the son of Donald and Laura (Strand) Dillenbeck. He passed away suddenly at the age of 77, on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at his home.

James was an auto body painter by trade and worked for numerous companies. He opened his own body shop, and loved to show off his talent by doing fancy paint jobs on the many cars he did. He also helped his father on the farm, was a corvette enthusiast, but most important was the time he spent with his family.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, followed by a service to honor James’ life. Pastor Glen Cowles of the East Arlington Baptist Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice. James is survived by a sister, Dixie (Gilbert “Leeon”) Arrans of Lawrence; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

James was preceded in passing by his parents; and a sister, Beverly Trochessett.
