Jacqueline Sue Caldwell, 69, of Hartford passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family.
The family will welcome friends from 5-6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, where a celebration of life service to honor Jackie's memory will follow. Jackie, as she was known, was born on Dec. 19, 1946, in Paw Paw, the daughter of Jack and Betty (Chappel) Rhinehart. She was a member of the American Legion Stoddard Post 93 auxiliary and was very passionate when it came to marching in the Memorial Day parades. She would often bake cupcakes for the VA in Battle Creek, helped with the Easter egg hunt in the park and loved playing bingo.
Jackie married Arlin Caldwell on Jan. 11, 1971. He survives along with a son, Steven (Terie) Caldwell of Kalamazoo; a daughter, Stacy (Steven) Hooper of Bangor; four grandchildren: Haylee Caldwell, Kaitlynn Hooper, Brody Caldwell and Toby Caldwell. She is also survived by her mother, Bettie Sias; and three siblings: Tommy Rhinehart, Robin Berli and Randy Sias; and many other family members and friends.
Jackie was preceded in passing by her father, Jack Rhinehart; a stepfather, Robert Sias; and a sister, Lori Ghent.
